|More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We love having picnics as a family. Even if it's a rainy day pizza picnic in the living room. Jonathan also built a picnic table for our yard!
We love working outside in our yard and going to the zoo or museums. As well as watching movies and playing legos and doing crafts. We are always starting new family craft activities.
ASL (American Sign Language) is a huge passion Angie has and teaches everyone in the family! It's used every day.
God is the cornerstone of our home. Both of us were raised in loving Christian families. We have strong hearts for serving others. Being examples of Christ's love is a deep passion we have and one that we strive daily to teach our children. Jonathan's love for God is evident in his willingness to love and help others everywhere he goes. Angie is known as a prayer warrior. The power of prayer has carried us through a lot in our lives. Every day we try to show our children what it looks like to show others the love of Christ in both our words and actions.
Our Musical Interest
Music is an instrumental part of our lives! (pun intended!)
Jonathan plays multiple instruments and has been in multiple bands over the years. He also enjoys leading worship at our church from time to time. Angie loves to sing and have kitchen dance parties with the boys while cooking meals. She grew up singing in choirs. Jax and Arlow have a piano, guitar, ukulele, drum set, karaoke machine, and many little instruments to choose from for their "rock band shows". We even make up songs daily to teach the boys and to just be silly!
About Our Home
We live in a beautiful little farmhouse on 2 acres of land. We have chickens and lots of trees including 2 maple trees that one day we hope to make maple syrup from. Our barn is where Jonathan does all his woodworking in his spare time. We also have a big garden that Angie and the kids plant fruits and veggies every year. It feels like we live in the country but we are only 30 minutes away from a big city. Our neighbors and area are full of many different cultures which provide a diverse atmosphere for our family. Being in a small town we get the little small town activities like parades and festivals, but being so close to the city also allows us to adventure into museums, zoos, and a multitude of different cultural festivals!
Jax is 6 and a half. He is constantly making us laugh and has the biggest, most giving heart! For his birthday this year, he actually asked for donations to our local food bank instead of presents. He of course still got gifts but he found more excitement in seeing party guests fill two grocery carts full of goods.
Arlow is 3 years old and is also a very loving boy. He is a total mommas boy but surprisingly never gets jealous of other babies Angie holds. He loves Batman and puppies and gives the best hugs and kisses. Food is also a #1 favorite for this growing boy!
Aavyn is our sweet angel. He was born with severe health issues and grew wings shortly after birth. He may be in heaven but is very much a part of our family. It's a comfort to know that our children will always have their own special guardian angel brother watching over them.
We live in the state of...
Quiet and diverse. We live in a small town but are also very close to a bigger city. We get the small town feel but also get to enjoy the cultural fun a diverse city offers.
