|More About Our Family
|Our Special Interests|
We have a particular interest and heart for orphaned children, working together on our non-profit to help provide the hope of Jesus to children in poverty circumstances. We also have a mutual passion for travel and enjoy seeing and experiencing different cultural perspectives. We love to explore and learn! We are a social couple who enjoy hosting family and friends into our home, creating new and different traditions such as Friendsgiving, holiday volunteer projects, and our winter grilled-pizza cookout! Both born and raised in Minnesota -- land of 10,000 lakes -- we love taking our boat to the lake on summer weekends and breaking out the fishing rods for ice fishing during the winter. Overall, we are interested in staying healthy, active, and learning new things! We are excited to include your child in these activities and traditions for years to come.
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and that God has called us to love Him and others by way of actions more than words. We are actively engaged in our church, serving in global missions and local compassion. We believe its not enough to know more people need love, but instead we believe we are called to do it. Our faith is the cornerstone and capstone for how we will raise your child and sustain a healthy marriage to support him/her.
Our favorite place to be is home! Our beautiful and cozy home is within city limits but offers much space and privacy on a ravine lot with large back yard and matured trees. We are blessed to have both young and older families surrounding us. In the summertime, we enjoy our screened porch and large patio overlooking the backyard - often with family or friends. Kelli has a large garden where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, and fresh herbs (just to name a few). Justin is the grill-master and also loves relaxing in the hammock in the back yard. During the winter, we look forward to building snow forts and sledding with your child. In the summer, we can't wait to get our wiggles out, play ball and hide-and-seek!
|We live in the state of...|
Minnesota! Minnesota winters are chilly but summers are green and warm; it's truly a beautiful place to live with four seasons. "Minnesota Nice" is a real thing and for good reason! Minnesota is known to turn just about anything into a "festival" and all kinds of foods into a casserole, "don'cha know?!"
