About Us And Our Journey

We met at Alexis’s parent’s wedding venue in Montana in the fall of 2014, fell quickly in love, married shortly after, and, seven years later, we are still going strong! We both love the outdoors, traveling to new places, quality time together, and good food. We have a biological son, Hunter, who is now five years old. Since having our son we have been on a long journey of infertility and loss which has led our hearts to adoption. We are excited to grow our family in this way and share our amazing family and close friends with our next child.  We love to make memories through our family time together, enjoying various outdoor activities.  From hiking, biking, and rafting to an evening in for game nights and dance parties, we truly love our time together. We look forward to sharing our passion for the great outdoors with our next child and making memories with them as a family!

My Husband, Michael

Michael is a wonderful husband, father, and provider of our family. He has the unique gift to make friends with anyone and thrives in social settings. He has a compassionate heart and loves spending time with family and friends. Michael is a hard worker and loves his job in Interventional Radiology. He is goal-oriented and at his best when given a project, task, or using his creative mind to build something for the house. Michael loves to be outdoors hiking with friends, hunting, rafting, or spending quality time with loved ones. He loves taking Hunter with him to explore the great outdoors! Michael loves to see Hunter’s joy and excitement in nature and he looks forward to sharing those moments with our next child. I know Michael is excited for our family to grow and to share more adventures with our children.

My Wife, Alexis

Alexis is the fun-loving, creative, and expressive pillar of our family.  She is solid in her convictions and her nurturing side makes her instantly connect with kids. Alexis is passionate about sports, especially football, and loves watching Sunday or Monday night football games when able. She loves to travel and go camping in our retro camp trailer beside a lake and loves to sit beside a warm campfire. She is quick to laugh, competitive by nature, and is an organized planner of all things family. Alexis loves being a stay-at-home Mom and likes making snacks for Hunter and the neighborhood kids, taking Hunter to gymnastics, skiing with him at the local ski resort, and meeting up with mothers. Alexis loves snuggles from our son while reading him a book and looks forward to doing the same with our next child. She is so excited for our family to grow!

Meet Hunter & Our Family

Our son, Hunter, is 5 years old and is shy when you first meet him but is a true social person by nature.  His perfect day is playing with neighborhood friends or his many cousins who live nearby. He’s so excited to have a sibling to share his heart and everyday life with.

Grammy and Papa (Michael’s Parents) live a few miles away and you will often find Hunter and all his cousins playing on their property. We are very fortunate to have both sets of grandparents nearby that are very involved and active in the lives of their grandchildren. Our families are thrilled about our adoption and are excited to welcome your child!

Our home in Montana

Our home in Montana is located in a close-knit, quiet little housing development in rural Montana surrounded by pine trees and beautiful farming communities. We live in a four-bedroom home with the nursery right next to the master bedroom. We bought our home with our growing family in mind and love that we have so much space! Our home is filled with a lot of laughter, love, patience, and grace. We always make time for dinner together, to catch up, talk about our day and express our gratitude for one another. We feel this is an important part of our home.

We Promise

Our promise to you is that we will love your child unconditionally and will honor their specific cultural and biological roots. We will always speak of you in a positive light and honor you. We will give your child a home filled with family, love, laughter, faith, and an unwavering support system for them to count on every single day of their lives. Our family is committed to giving your child every opportunity to succeed in life and to develop into a person of integrity. We promise to always be encouraging and build them up and praise them throughout his/her everyday life. We look forward to opening our hearts and home up to your child and sharing our extended family, faith, community, and traditions with them.

More About Our Family
Our Life Together

Our family loves the outdoors and, on occasion, you'll find us snuggled up on our couch watching a cartoon, a family movie, or sometimes football on Sunday. We have always made time to sit down to a home-cooked meal as a family and we believe this simple routine is important because it allows us to reflect on our day, encourage, and express gratitude towards one another. The three of us value quality time together as we love family bike rides, rafting, or getting out in the snow to ride our snowmobiles. The blessing of another child would only enrich the adventures and our quality time spent together.

Our Faith

Our faith is deeply rooted in the belief that a personal relationship with God always comes before Religion. We believe that Jesus is the cornerstone and through Him and His death on the cross, we are able to have a relationship with God and forgiveness in our lives. We attend Church regularly although sometimes, especially in the summer, we are out enjoying God in nature on the occasional camping trip. Faith is paramount in a healthy family, and we promise to encourage your child in their faith as we apply godly principles as they show interest.

Family and Traditions

Your child will have 1 sibling, 2 sets of grandparents, 2 aunts and 3 uncles, and 9 first cousins. We have been blessed to have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins that live two minutes away. They are always willing and ready to help out at anytime. We are blessed to have family that is always so supportive and encouraging us through out this journey. They are so excited to welcome your child into our family and look forward to sharing our family traditions and adventures with them.

For the past three years we have enjoyed a late season family camping trip that is extended out to our close family and friends. Kids are in and out of the lake, swimming, fishing, and catching crawdads. Long days with beautiful sunsets lead to gathering around the fire, roasting s'mores, laughing, and catching up on everyday life.

Independence Day starts with attending the local parade with friends and cousins. We like to enjoy the rest of our afternoon on the river or lake playing and soaking up all the sunshine. The day ends with an annual 4th of July bbq and fireworks at Grammy and Papa's. This is a favorite for all the cousins!

Christmas is a favorite Holiday with lots of special traditions for the three of us. Alexis and Hunter always bake an abundant amount of Christmas cookies and treats for our family, close friends, and neighbors. We always plan an ugly sweater party with our close friends and family, and we enjoy driving around to look at Christmas lights with Mimi and Papa (Alexis' Parents). Since we live in Montana, the best Christmas tree is right out our backdoor. The day after Thanksgiving we pack our hot cocoa and a chainsaw, then head up to the mountains for the perfect tree. These traditions started our first year of marriage, and we have continued to enjoy them with Hunter. We look forward to sharing them with your child.

Birthday's are important to our family and we love planning a "special day" for anyone in our house. For Hunter that usually includes a themed party with loved ones and friends, activities, and a fun cake that he picks out for Alexis to make and decorate.

What type of relationship do we hope to have with you?

Our desire is for you to be as involved as you feel comfortable with. We will forever view you as a part of our family as well, and yet we want to be sensitive to your feelings and needs as well. The open part of adoption is something we strongly believe in, and we want you to have a open line of communication with us and with your child, with as much frequency as you feel comfortable with. We are open to sending pictures, letters, emails, and even personal visits.
